Parts for plating must be free from grease and oil. They need cleaning with a solvent such as lacquer thinner or acetone to be confident all surfaces are clean. Parts to be plated must also be rust free. Sandblast or bead blast to remove any rust. Please note: any surface defects such as pitting or scratches will be visible after the parts have been plated. Parts received for plating that need surface prep will be quoted for cleaning and blasting or returned at the owners expense.
Typical Cadmium plating batch sizes are less than 25lbs. The cost per batch is $190.00 plus shipping
Get together with friends to bundle your parts, or let us bundle for you with our other customers. Lead time is typically (2) weeks after bundle size is set and parts are received by Engineered Spares.
